Examples of clothing provided to children through Operation School Bell.

Operation School Bell is a nationwide philanthropic program of Assistance League. The purpose of this program is to provide school clothes to children in need. Sometimes these clothes are three school uniforms, and sometimes they are simply three pair of jeans and four shirts. Also always included are a coat, backpack, socks, shoes and underwear.

During the 2015-16 school year,  Assistance League of Coppell provided school clothes for 120 children at 20 schools. These 20 schools include all of the Coppell ISD schools and three schools in the neighboring city of Irving. The schools' nurses and counselors determine need and then contact Assistance League of Coppell. Assistance League of Coppell committee members then deliver the clothing to the schools. Children's identities are kept confidential during this process. Since the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year, we have clothed 132 students in the fall semester.

Operation School Bell operates in Coppell with dedicated volunteers. These members often work tirelessly attempting to fit the children in the proper sized clothing.
